What are articles of amendment?
You need to file articles of amendment anytime a detail in your original articles of organization or articles of incorporation changes. Your formation documents are a snapshot of your business at the time you filed, and the state expects that snapshot to stay current.
You may need to file articles of amendment when changing your business name; moving your principal office or mailing address; appointing a new registered agent; adding, removing, or changing members, managers, officers, or directors; or changing your stated business purpose.
